Compression Tights – Support Tights from 40 to 140 DEN
Full-length support from waist to toe – compression tights combine the smooth, polished look of regular tights with graduated pressure that keeps your legs energised throughout the day. The compression is strongest at the ankle and eases as it moves upward, actively promoting blood flow back to the heart and reducing the swelling and heaviness that come from long hours of sitting or standing.
Compression tights by finish
- Sheer support (15–20 DEN): The invisible helper. These tights look and feel like regular sheer hosiery – a natural, luminous finish on the leg – while delivering 10–15 mmHg of support underneath. Perfect for the office, events and everyday wear when you want prevention without anyone noticing.
- Semi-opaque support (30–40 DEN): More visible coverage with a smooth matte finish. A good balance between aesthetics and therapeutic effect. Ideal for autumn, winter and air-conditioned environments.
- Opaque support (50–70 DEN): Maximum coverage and warmth with the strongest compression levels. Rich colour, sleek silhouette and firm support for more pronounced venous issues or post-surgical recovery.
- Maternity support: Compression tights with an expandable waistband panel that grows with your bump. Especially beneficial from the second trimester, when pregnancy-related swelling and heavy legs often begin. See also our maternity section.
Choosing the right compression level
Light support (10–15 mmHg) is all most healthy women need for prevention – long office days, flights, teaching shifts and retail jobs. Medium support (15–20 mmHg) is recommended for existing spider veins, mild varicose veins and pregnancy-related swelling. Higher classes (20 mmHg+) are medically certified and best selected in consultation with your doctor or pharmacist.
Sizing follows a height-and-weight grid, but ankle and calf circumference matter too. Measure both and compare with the brand’s chart. A properly fitted compression tight should feel snug at the ankle – noticeably firmer than a regular tight – and gradually ease as it moves up. If it feels uniformly tight everywhere, the size may be wrong.
