Men's Compression Knee-High Socks – Graduated Support
The discreet powerhouse of men’s legwear – compression knee-highs look like ordinary dress socks from the outside while delivering targeted, graduated pressure from ankle to calf on the inside. They sit comfortably below the knee, hidden inside trousers and shoes, making them the easiest way to add support to your daily routine without changing your style.
Styles and compression levels
- Business compression (10–15 mmHg): Fine-gauge, polished designs in black, navy and charcoal. Light support that prevents tired legs during desk-bound workdays. Indistinguishable from regular dress socks.
- Travel compression (15–20 mmHg): Medium support designed for long flights and train journeys. Reduces ankle swelling and the risk of deep vein discomfort during extended periods of immobility.
- Medical compression (20+ mmHg): Certified graduated pressure for existing venous conditions, post-surgery recovery or doctor-prescribed therapy. Firmer fabric with a therapeutic fit.
- Sport recovery: Performance-oriented compression knee-highs that speed up recovery after running, cycling and other leg-intensive activities. Often with cushioned soles and moisture-wicking yarns.
Getting the right fit
Compression only works when the size is correct. Measure your ankle at the narrowest point and your calf at the widest point, then compare both measurements with the brand’s chart. The knee-high should feel firm at the ankle – like a supportive handshake, not a squeeze – and ease gradually as it moves up the leg. If it bunches behind the knee or slides down, try a different size or brand.
Put compression knee-highs on in the morning, before your legs have had a chance to swell. Roll the fabric down to the heel, slide your foot in, then unroll evenly up the leg. Avoid pulling from the top, which can overstretch the fabric and reduce the graduated effect.
Care and alternatives
Machine-wash at 30–40°C and air-dry to preserve elasticity and compression levels. Replace compression hosiery every three to six months, as the elastic fibres gradually lose their therapeutic pressure over time. For full-leg compression, explore men’s tights. For lighter everyday options, browse support socks or our regular socks department. Free shipping on orders over 49 EUR.
