Cervin Paris is the last remaining manufacturer of authentic fully fashioned nylon stockings in France – and one of only a handful worldwide. Since the 1950s, Cervin has preserved the traditional art of flat-knitting stockings from pure nylon yarn and hand-seaming them to create the iconic back seam that defined an era of elegance. Every pair of Cervin stockings is a piece of living hosiery heritage, crafted in France with the same techniques that were used seventy years ago.
What makes Cervin unique is the commitment to authenticity. These are not modern stockings with a decorative back seam stitched on for effect – the seam is a structural element of the fully fashioned knitting process, where a flat panel of nylon is shaped to follow the natural contour of the leg and then joined by a skilled seamstress. The result is a fit, drape and sheen that no tubular-knit stocking can replicate.
